Article Abstract:
Keloid and hypertrophic scars are difficult to treat, and their management requires a structured approach with input from a multidisciplinary team. Patients with these scars are referred to plastic surgeons and dermatologists, principally because their appearances or symptoms, such as itch and pain, are affecting their quality of life.
