Nurse prescribers are not rewarded for this new responsibility
Article Abstract:
Nurses are independently prescribing medicines and patients are benefiting due to their ability to complete more episodes of care. However, the number of nurses eligible to prescribe is negligible as nurse prescribers are not rewarded for this new responsibility and therefore they do not actively involve themselves in this task.

All change in primary care
Article Abstract:
The changes that have taken place in primary care has caused concerns to the staff and nurses regarding their terms and conditions and pensions. The community nurses are wondering whether their jobs will be safe when PCTs merge, who their employers will be and what effect this will have on their terms and conditions.
