Nutritional evaluation of protein hydrolysate formulas
Article Abstract:
Investigation of the growth parameters, biochemical indice of protein metabolism and plasma Amino acid concentrations in various age group of infant revealed that protein hydrolyzed formulas are not equivalent to whole protein formulas in terms of nutritional efficiency for perterm and term infants. The formulation of more balanced biochemical indices of protein metabolism, including minerals and trace elements, is recommended. The results of various protein hydrolysate formulas and whey-casein hydrolysate formulas tested of infants is given.

Which formula in cow's milk protein intolerance? The dietitian's dilemma
Article Abstract:
There has been no real substitute of the ideal milk on the market. The substitution is influence by nutritional composition, evidence of successful growth and nutritional status, palatability, cost, allergenicity, availability and ease of preparation. Various formulas introduced had some drawbacks on these issues. Among these formulas, the extensively hydrolyzed casein and whey based formulas remains the best substitute of milk. The use of various formulas with their respective characteristics is reported.
