Off-label use of medications: A common practice

Off-label use of drugs is a common and acceptable practice by doctors and when done under a doctor's care, off-label use of medications is legal and might be the standard of care for many disorders. Off-label use means that a drug is being used for a purpose that is not listed on the product's label.
