Article Abstract:
The results of a Web - based survey on the effect of off-the-job injuries on the workplace, and the economic and health burden of such injuries are presented. The survey was conducted amongst 1,300 Health and safety professionals, HR managers, corporate leaders and directors.

The results of an annual salary survey by safety+health for the year 2003 are presented. Issues concerning career & compensation, training and education, and safety are covered. 478 safety professionals from 47 states and the District of Columbia took part in the survey.
