Out of control.?
Article Abstract:
Deaths and morbidity from asthma are increasing, possibly due to improved diagnosis, or sometimes because of overuse of bronchodilators. Many practice nurses now run asthma clinics where the patient can receive education about the condition and use of inhalers and have their peak flow monitored. There is controversy over the use of bronchodilators and steroids for asthma patients due to side effects such as skin problems and growth retardation.
