PA. governor urges Democrats to back away from abortion

Pennsylvania's Democratic Gov Robert P. Casey urged the national Democratic Party to reverse its stand on abortion. In an Apr 2, 1992, speech at the University of Notre Dame, Casey asserted that millions of Democrats oppose abortion and that a Democrat will be President again only if the party changes its position on abortion. Industry goes all out to stop curbs on chlorine in water
Article Abstract:
The Chlorine Chemical Council is fighting changes in the Safe Drinking Water Act that would result in the decrease of chlorine in drinking water. Water purification is a small segment of chlorine industry sales but the industry is concerned if it loses this battle further encroachments on sales and marketing will continue.

Court rules against abortion curbs
Article Abstract:
The United States Supreme Court ruled against efforts of state and local governments to place restrictions on a woman's right to have an abortion. The court acted on cases involving laws in Akron, Ohio, Virginia and Missouri. It generally overturned regulations that attempted to limit second-trimester abortions.
