Paclitaxel-carboplatin alone or with bevacizumab for non-small-cell lung cancer
Article Abstract:
A randomized study is conducted on advanced non-small-cell lung cancer patients to investigate whether the addition of bevacizumab to paclitaxel and carboplatin improves survival in patients with metastatic non-squamous-cell, non-small-cell lung cancer. Result showed that the addition of bevacizumab to paclitaxel plus carboplatin in the treatment of selected patients with non-small-cell lung cancer has a significant survival benefit with the risk of increased treatment-related deaths.
