Paediatric discharge criteria lead to improved outcomes
Article Abstract:
A discharge standard for children undergoing day surgery has been jointly developed by the Albert day unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, England, and the Island day unit at the Hospital for Children, Great Ormond Street, London, England. This work involved creating an audit tool to allow staff to evaluate the process of discharge, with goals including giving families written information to allow them to continue care at home.
