Epilepsy and all that jazz
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the reflex epilepsies caused by different sensory stimuli. The mechanism of the neuronal excitability has been investigated via the study of the mutated gene that causes epileptic seizures in response to loud noises and the results are reported.

Parkin ubiquitinates the alpha-synuclein-interacting protein, synphilin-1: implications of Lewy-body formation in Parkinson disease
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the Parkinson disease characterized by the dopaminergic neurons loss and the presence of intracytoplasmic-ubiquitinated inclusions, Lewy bodies. The absence of the Lewy body in the patients with the parkin mutations has been investigated and the results suggest that parkin may be required for the Lewy body formation.
