Patients in liability hot spots asked to arbitrate, not litigate
Article Abstract:
Florida Medical Association is organizing programs and seminars to educate physicians on binding arbitration contract, an option that can reduce risks and help physicians continue medical practice. The concept is being highly accepted by records showing that about half of the 7,000 physician members of Cooperative of American Physicians-Mutual Protection Trust, a medical liability corporation use binding arbitration and more than 90% of their patients agreeing to sign the contract.
