Patients turned away in vaccine shortage

Article Abstract:

Practice nurses are struggling to cope with the shortage of flu vaccine and have resorted to prioritizing patients in the 'at-risk' groups and others, which meant putting other eligible patients on waiting lists. The shortage is because of the media hype over bird flu as they have got wrong idea from media that cutting the transmission rate of normal flu will cut transmission of bird flu, if it mutates to humans.
