Philosophy of psychopharmacology
Article Abstract:
Several advantages are associated with examining the intersections between philosophy and psychopharmacology. Philosophical stances are useful when accounting for good clinical theory and practice in defining mental disorders. The integration of philosophical positions on mind-body problems leads to the consideration of neurochemical entities, biopsychological structures and mechanisms. Moreover, the adoption of philosophical views on concepts of personhood results in an explanatory account of psychopharmacology.

The philosophy of psychopathy
Article Abstract:
Psychopathy entails individual's inability in the cognitive-affective processes used in moral reasoning and evaluation. The psychopath shows deficits in appreciating the importance of the interests of others and in seeing self through others' eyes. A positivist view of psychopathy considers it as a definite disorder with characteristic behaviors, whereas a hermeneutic approach holds that the concept of psychopathy is only a social construction which is dependent on cultural-specific moral values.

THE SELF OF PHILOSOPHY AND THE SELF OF IMMUNOLOGY
Article Abstract:
There is much similarity concerning the self in immunology and in philosophy. Both assume that self has a stable core, essence, or foundation, enabling it to redefine through time. The foundation is called the "substantial" self, which maintains the self with its properties constantly changing. This is considered to be the real self.
