A Kaiser Permanente pediatrician in Maryland, Caroline Namrow, recollects a D.C. sniper attack where she testified at John Allen Muhammad trial who was found guilty of capital murder by a Virginia jury. She discusses her experience while saving the cab driver Premkumar A. Walekar, who was shot in the attack and later died in her arms.

The measures undertaken by various states in the US for the control of small pox, a bioterrorist infection, are discussed. The variation between the number of doses and shots vaccinated is listed based on data collected from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in different states.
