Political involvement a must for doctors
Article Abstract:
Physicians must participate in the political process, especially in this election year. Health care policy will be decided in the next Congress, and every doctor should express opinions about ways to improve the system. The American Medical Political Action Committee provides information for doctors and encourages participation in the political process, in addition to channeling donations to candidates. If time is not available to run for office, physicians should support candidates whose opinions they favor.
