Post war (1950s): Postcards
Article Abstract:
The development of radio and telephone communications in the 1920s brought the boom in the British postcard industry to a close. The postcard had been used extensively throughout World War 1, with many carrying official war pictures. The comic postcard was also popular during the First World War, with Donald McGill among the most well-known comic postcard artists between 1914 and 1950.
