Postoperative resolution of urinary retention in patients with advanced pelvic organ prolapse
Article Abstract:
Many patients with pelvic organ prolapse will no longer have urinary retention when the prolapsed organs are surgically corrected. Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the pelvic organs are not properly supported in their usual positions. This can affect the function of the urinary tract, causing urine to be retained in the bladder.
