Children learn to read best when it is taught and practiced in a very systematic way by breaking apart and manipulating the sounds in words, by making them understanding that the sounds are represented by letter of alphabets and by blending sounds together to form words. Guidelines are given for parents to help them prepare their child to become a successful reader.
