Preparing a proposal for clinical audit
Article Abstract:
Nurses who are considering undertaking a clinical audit should first confirm that the undertaking is definitely a clinical audit and not a research study or observational analysis. They should then prepare a clinical audit proposal. This proposal acts as a basis for obtaining the support of colleagues and for discussion with local experts on clinical audit. Items it will include are details of the patient group involved in the audit and the aims and perceived benefits of the audit.

Networking for career planning
Article Abstract:
A career path in nursing is not as easy to define as it used to be, and networking is an approach that can help nurses to make the most of opportunities that are presented. Networking is useful for information-gathering, for new contacts, for keeping up to date and for advice and support. Informal networking occurs all the time, each day, and is more about expanding and developing future contacts rather than obtaining or exchanging specific information.
