Prescribing proposals need backing
Article Abstract:
The Department of Health has recommended that independent nurse prescribers should have a greater freedom to prescribe all controlled drugs, as they can be of extreme help in providing proper health care facilities to patients. But the proposals need the backing of the Home Office and medical bodies for nurses to gain prescribing powers.
