Preventing diabetes

A healthy lifestyle is a key to the prevention of diabetes. A WHO report cites obesity, lack of exercise and unbalanced diet as the main causes of the increase in non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus cases. WHO also promotes early detection and appropriate treatment to prevent diabetes-related illness.
