Providing children with health information
Article Abstract:
A children's health information centre has been operating as part of the children's department at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, England, since Jul 1996. This aims to ensure that staff, parents, families and children have access to all the information they require about any health-related issue. It is located within the children's out-patient department, and therefore plays a vital role in providing information after an initial diagnosis or when treatment decisions must be made.

Orthodox care: Britain is culturally diverse and nurses have to be flexible and sensitive to the needs of different communities, such as orthodox Jews
Article Abstract:
Health professionals are becoming more culturally aware but certain ethnic groups, such as orthodox Jews are still a mystery to many nurses. With mental health there may be confusion about whether a patient is exhibiting psychotic behaviour or simply practising a legitimate religious rite. Ester Spitzer of Chizuk, a charity created by the orthodox community to support those with mental health problems, wants to encourage more openness and encourage families to seek professional help.
