Putting ageism in the past
Article Abstract:
The impact of new age discrimination law on nurses and their employers, which will come into effect from October 1, 2006, is examined. The Employment Equality Regulations 2006 will ban age discrimination in terms of recruitment, promotion and training, remove the existing age limit for unfair dismissal and also age limits for statutory sick pay.

The agency nursing offers long-term contracts that give nurses an opportunity to develop skills in a range of specialties. The agency nursing is a long-term career option or an opportunity to experience different specialties or employers.
