Reclaiming child soldiers' lost lives
Article Abstract:
The issue concerning young people abduction and forcement to serve in rebel armies and government forces in 30 to 50 countries, that estimates to 300000 children and adolescents, according to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is addressed. Psychologist and community workers in Angola blended Western psychological approaches and trauma treatment, with local beliefs and healing practices to help child soldiers reintegrate into their communities.

Online empathy for mood disorders: patients turn to Internet support groups
Article Abstract:
Many patients with mood disorders have found Internet support groups to help them cope with their illness. These groups have been around since the early 1990s, but there is little research to show whether they are effective or not. One study published in 2002 found that most of the participants in one Internet support group were also receiving professional treatment for their depression.

The US Department of Defense organizes schools for childrenEs of soldiers who are away from their home performing their duty at the battlefield. Teachers at such schools are aware of the stresses experienced by children when a parent is away on active duty and thus provide ample support required for them.
