Reproducibility of a food frequency questionnaire and stability of dietary habits determined from five annually repeated measurements
Article Abstract:
Food frequency questionnaires (FFQs) are utilized in the assessment of long-term dietary habits. A standard reference method of dietary assessment such as a diet record is used to validate the results of these questionnaires. Moreover, questionnaires are administered several times to evaluate their reproducibility. Dietary habits in the Netherlands Cohort Study on diet and cancer are assessed over a 5-year period with the help of a 150-item FFQ.

Article Abstract:
A workshop discussed the approach of the US Food and Nutrition Board (FNB) to daily nutrient requirements and its relevance for Europe. It was concluded that the traditional approaches to recommended dietary allowances (RDA) are no longer satisfactory, and there is a need for global harmonization of criteria used to assess the adequacy of intake.
