Oral leukotriene-receptor antagonist plus as-needed rescue albuterol
Article Abstract:
The choice of as-needed controller therapy for asthma patient to reduce the side effect of inhaled corticosteroids is suggested. The patient was recommended to regularly use leukotriene modifiers, as it would reduce the degree of exercise-induced bronchospasm without tachyphylaxis or concerns related to the use of long-acting beta-agonists alone.
