Right on time
Article Abstract:
The patients suffering from Parkinson's disease (PD) should always be given their drugs right on time, as the delay in which can cause several side effects like tremor, rigidity and anxiety in them and takes a very long time to subside. The newly launched campaign hence focuses on training people and nurses about all the aspects of the medication given to patients with PD, so that they do not have to undergo all the troubles and have a special someone to take care of them.

Parkinson's disease is a progressive neurological condition affecting movement, speech, swallowing and self-expression and develops degeneration and loss of dopaminergic cells. An overview of the Parkinson's disease, its pharmacology, its care management and different novel treatment approaches, is presented.

Nursing care methods for younger patients with Parkinson's Disease are described, including therapy with levodopa and other dopamine inhibitors and agonists. The social impact of Parkinson's on the lives of patients is also discussed.
