Seeding the World With Stem Cells

Doctors at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia are offering stem cells to any researcher who requests them. The University of Wisconsin Medical School has also established a stem cell line and the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and a medical school in Israel are planning on doing so as well.

About 2,500 former and current officers of the Epidemic Intelligence Service will meet in April, 2001 to celebrate the service's 50th anniversary. It was born in 1951 to meet the potential threat of bioterrorism and its mission is to investigate all public health threats.
