Selective fetocide reverses preeclampsia in discordant twins
Article Abstract:
Three patients with second trimester preeclampsia linked to a lethal condition in one twin were treated with selective fetocide in an effort to reverse preeclampsia. The results indicate that preeclampsia resolved in all three patients allowed continuation of the pregnancy for an additional 9 to 23 weeks before delivery of the remaining fetus.

Women over 45 years of age are investigated to determine the impact of pregnancy complications on newborn outcome. It is observed that women in this group who frequently conceive with assisted reproductive technology (ART) that includes donor eggs could expect excellent newborn outcome, despite an increased risk of preeclampsia.
