Should an AIDS test be required for all pregnant women?
Article Abstract:
All pregnant women should undergo an AIDS test. An HIV-positive mother can reduce her chances of having an infected baby if she takes AZT while she is pregnant. Proposals for mandatory testing are controversial because of potential discrimination against mothers with AIDS.

One step toward controlling the AIDS epidemic
Article Abstract:
Doctors should be required to report HIV positive patients anonymously to the patients' sexual partners through the public health departments. Women at risk for AIDS could benefit from this, as they may be eight times as likely to contract HIV from sex as men.

Maybe you can save a teenager from AIDS
Article Abstract:
Young adults can help prevent AIDS in teenagers because they can give advice without being condescending. Teenagers need to know that they are at risk for AIDS. Adults should be honest and graphic when discussing AIDS and sex with teenagers.
