An analysis of UK Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting's guidelines for nurses regarding administration of covert medication to patients with or without their consent is offered. Additional information on administration of covert medication to people with dementia is included.

Nurses are still being taken for granted
Article Abstract:
The absence of Health minister Alan Milburn from the annual congress meeting of the Royal College of Nurses did little to assure nurses that they are not being taken for granted by the Department of Health. Deputy Minister John Hutton offered some good news to nurses but not nearly enough.
