Article Abstract:
Physicians and womenEs advocacy groups succeeded in getting three federal courts to issue temporary restraining orders against the ban on intact dilatation and extraction with the help of the ePartial-Birth Abortion Ban ActE. The temporary restraining orders issued shielded doctors from the ban apply only to the physicians who sued and those who work with them.

US Supreme Court to decide if patients can sue health plans
Article Abstract:
The US Supreme Court should decide whether patients could sue their health plans in state court for denials of physician-recommended treatment. The high court is expected to make a decision when it hears two cases involving patients who sued their health plans under a 1997 Texas law.
