Sleeping poorly while pregnant may not be 'normal'
Article Abstract:
The sleep disorders that are commonly found in pregnant women are discussed considering the fact that these disorders can be harmful to both, the child and the mother. Restless legs syndrome (RLS), obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a sleep-related breathing disorder, and periodic limb movements during sleep (PLMS) are some of the common problems developed for the first time in pregnancy, usually in the last trimester.
