So you want to be a ... dietician
Article Abstract:
Dieticians all have a degree in nutrition and dietetics and courses last for four years. The courses are very scientific and A-levels in at least two science subjects are required. Dieticians have to constantly update their knowledge and they use a procedure like PREP. Most dieticians are employed in the health service and they can specialize in areas such as oncology, diabetes, HIV or paediatrics. Nurses who are interested in training as a dietician should shadow a dietician to see what the job involves.
