Specialist palliative care nursing in the community
Article Abstract:
Cancer patients are treated holistically both physically and mentally when receiving palliative care from community nurses. It is very important for cancer patients have their spiritual needs met during treatment and the final stages of life. The complex nature of providing holistic palliative care requires nurses to have a full understanding of pathophysiology and positive communication skills which provide patients with a dignified death and spiritual awareness of life.
