Striated urethral sphincter activity does not alter urethral pressure during filling cystometry
Article Abstract:
The relationship between urethral pressure and the neuromuscular activity of the urethral sphincter is determined with the use of quantitative electromyography during bladder filling. Despite increased activity of the striated urethral sphincter the stability of urethral pressure during filing cystometry reveals that urethral pressure change does not reflect the integrity of the striated urethral sphincter.

Outcome after rectovaginal fascia reattachment for rectocele repair
Article Abstract:
Rectovaginal fascia reattachment can alleviate some symptoms of rectocele but not others. Rectocele occurs when the wall of the rectum protrudes into the vagina. Many of the 46 women in one study who had the procedure still had constipation and difficult defecation.
