Depression Alliance is a self-help group for those withdepression. It is run by a former ward sister, who is overcoming depression. Many nurses withdepression do not admit to their illness, which leads to further anxiety and depression. It isestimated by the Health and Safety Executive that 30-40% of sickness absence is due to mentalor emotional disturbances.

Making a clean break
Article Abstract:
Hand-washing is very important to prevent nurses from catching infections in hospital. However, a study has revealed that the position in which hands are held after washing has no effect on infection prevention. However, the quality of hand-washing is defined by frequency, method, duration, employed agent and appropriateness, according to Larson.
