Nursing heroes of the century
Article Abstract:
Sister Frances Dominica, founder of the Helen House children's hospice, is one of the 20th century's unsung nursing heroes. The Anglican nun founded the world's first children's hospice in 1982, since when it has helped families of all denominations. The success of her venture is evident from the number of children's hospices that have been modelled on Helen House throughout the world.

Article Abstract:
A teacher with the child branch, Project 2000, Sheffield and North Trent College of Nursing and Midwifery, Sheffield, describes a research day intended to improve student attitudes to research. Students became the subjects for each other's research while the projects were being run. They considered the day as popular and useful, although teachers's opinions were mixed.
