Texas medical board funding will help root out bad doctors
Article Abstract:
A new law is enforced to review medical competency by providing more funding through physician licensing fees and establishing an expert panel in order to encourage the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. The law that was signed on 10th June 2003 enables speedier handling of complaints, which many physicians feel would greatly improve the board by allowing it to do a better job of regulating doctors and protecting patients.
