Wyo. limited licensure law declared unconsitutional
Article Abstract:
The Wyoming Supreme Court rejected a part of the Mental Health Professions Practice Act as amended in 1993, that required 3,000 hours of clinical experience in nonprofit or government settings. Three individuals who sought the same experience in for-profit facilities, plus a private professional corporation, charged discrimination. The Court rejected claims by the state Mental Health Professions Licensing Board that quality control justified the discrimination.
