The 100-year anniversary of the description of the frozen section procedure
Article Abstract:
A brief description on celebrating the 100-year anniversary of the frozen section procedure is presented. A biology teacher, Wilson, deduced a very simple technique to stain frozen tissue specimens during surgery that allowed for a diagnosis within minutes while the patient is still on the operating table.

Enzyme replacement for lysosomal diseases
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on the enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) for the patients with sphingolipid storage disorders in the mid-1960s. Results showed that the ERT was very effective for patients with Gaucher disease, the most prevalent metabolic storage disorder of humans.
