Diversity prevails in demographics
Article Abstract:
Diversity will be an important aspect in real estate demographics over the next 15 years, according to 1995 ALTA Annual Convention speaker Leanne Lachman. Immigrants will comprise a major part of population and labor force growth, and will counterbalance population losses in large cities such as New York City and Los Angeles. The fastest-growing states will be in the west, and development opportunities will continue to flourish in western and southern communities. Suburbs will be chosen as work locations over downtown areas, with more Hispanics and African Americans moving to these locations.

The biology of hair follicles
Article Abstract:
Disorders of hair growth, including excessive hair or hair loss, are signs of an abnormality in hair-follicle cycling. All hair follicles go through three stages, including growth and rest. The final resting stage includes the formation of a mature hair, which eventually falls out. Then the follicle goes through the cycle again. Abnormalities in the cycle will cause excessive hair growth or excessive hair loss. The cycle is influenced by hormones and nutritional status. For this reason, many hair growth disorders are completely reversible.
