The cardiology beat: an Internet education for patients and health professionals
Article Abstract:
There are several sites on the World Wide Web that provide information about the heart and its diseases. They include the Website of the American Heart Association, one by the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, one each by Emory University, Stanford University, the University of Kansas Medical Center, the University of Illinois College of Medicine and Washington University in St. Louis. One site even includes audio files of heart sounds. However, users may need special software in addition to a Web browser, including a program to read PDF files and one to play WAV files.
