The language of ages
Article Abstract:
The aged have often been portrayed in a negative way throughout history and there has also been discrimination against the aged. The problem may have worsened in modern society but there is evidence that negative views have been found in all historical periods. Attitudes of health workers may affect care of the aged where younger people are automatically favored. Some older people may, however, perform a more valuable role in society than some younger people. There may also a a patronizing view of older people among some health workers.

Winter crisis hits community posts
Article Abstract:
Many health visitors in the UK are facing an uncertain future as National Health Service trusts across the country review community nursing services in an effort to comply with health authority budget cuts. In many cases, health visitors will be forced to compete with colleagues for a reduced number of jobs. Forest Healthcare NHS Trust in London, England, for example, could eliminate 13 G-grade community nursing positions in order to make cost savings of 210,000 pounds sterling.
