The need for natural killer T cells
Article Abstract:
Natural killer (NK) T cells share the properties off both T cells and natural killer cells. The absence of NKT cells might underlie the immune disorder X-linked lymphoproliferative disease, which is rare but fatal inherited immunodeficiency characterized by an inability to respond appropriately to infection by the nearly ubiquitous Epstein-Barr virus.

Vitamin A helps gut T cells find their way in the dark
Article Abstract:
The research in mice show that dendritic cells in the gut produce a derivative of vitamin A, retinoic acid, that gives T cells direction. Native T cells recirculate between the blood and secondary lymphoid organs and gain access to peripheral tissues only upon activation.
