The neurobiology of antiepileptic drugs for the treatment of nonepileptic conditions
Article Abstract:
Antiepileptic drugs (AED) are commonly prescribed for nonepileptic conditions. The molecular and cellular mechanisms through which AEDs act to protect against seizures are reviewed and the actions of AEDs in diverse other conditions for which they are prescribed are considered.
