The extent to which the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) has achieved the goal plans set out for health care coverage is discussed. Further the continuing controversy over the applicable extent of health care coverage with the drawbacks and advantages is discussed.

The challenge of rising health care costs- a view from the congressional budget office
Article Abstract:
The expected spending on health care costs in the U.S. in 2007 is said to be total 4.6% of the gross domestic product (GDP). The congressional Budget Office proposes that if necessary alterations are not done in existing law the figure is expected to reach 20% of the GDP by 2050.
