The role of TNFalpha and lymphotoxin in demyelinating disease
Article Abstract:
Immune system proteins called tumor necrosis factor and lymphotoxin appear to play a role in multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease caused by an immune attack on nerve cells. Tumor necrosis factor and lymphotoxin may be involved in this attack, since they both cause inflammation.

Tumour necrosis factor and other cytokines in murine lupus
Article Abstract:
Lupus appears to involve cytokines produced by both T(subH)1 and T(subH)2 cells. T(subH)1 cells produce IL2, IFNgamma, and TNFbeta, whereas T(subH)2 cells produce IL4, IL5, IL6, IL10, and IL13.
