Article Abstract:
A survey into whether the specific needs of disabled people and women are included in town planning decisions has been carried out. Planning authorities are now obliged to provide unitary development plans incorporating their policies on these issues. The survey focussed on metropolitan and London Borough authorities. It was concluded that some attention is being paid to the needs of disabled people, but less to the needs of women.

In 1993, Jennifer Silverman-Ross wrote an article for Glamour magazine saying how being a topless dancer was liberating and empowering for her. Ten years later, she no longer feels this way. She thinks that she lost part of her self-value by dancing. She also thinks that women in the sex industry are often victims of e ar ly childhood sexual abuse.

Haiti's Vodoun religion, contrary to popular belief, is not a cult of darkness nor is it a worship of animal spirits. It is a faith and a philosophy, rooted in West Africa, which is monotheistic yet subservient to the spirits of the elements, objects and abstract processes.
