The tryptophan dilemma
Article Abstract:
The nutritional supplement tryptophan was linked to an outbreak of eosinophilia-myalagia syndrome in 1989. Convincing evidence exists that the outbreak was caused by contamination. Regulating the manufacture of supplements is the best way to guarantee safety.
